Summer is heating up, which means it’s time for the DAY OF THE HOG/ JULY HEAT POKER RUN. The big event is this Saturday, July 19 at Dillon Brothers on 174th & Maple. You can pre-register through Friday, July 18 at the Omaha store and save $5 off your registration fee, or register the day of the event from 9 to noon for $30. Your poker run registration also gets you into the Street Dance in Valley, NE. And as always, all bikes are welcome.
There will be 5 live bands throughout the afternoon and evening, and downtown of Valley becomes party central. And don’t forget to buy your $10 raffle ticket to win one of the coolest bikes around, a blacked out 2008 Nightster. We will award the bike on Saturday evening. If you can’t make the ride, or want some friends to join you for the Street Dance, adults can gain admission for just a $10 donation per person.

| Last year Carl Edwards was involved in a crash at the Edwards brother battle at Nebraska Raceway Parks 1-80 Speedway. While Carls younger brother Kenny took the challenge and finished the race. Carl suffered a cut finger only to come back the following day to Win a Nascar Event. So this year Nascar Star Carl Edwards who is revered to some as the fastest dirt track racer in the USA today is ready to take the challenge again for the Brother battle. | |

Saturday night July 12th in Jefferson, IA I am putting on a race for our local fair. I got the track all done. Payout is 100% plus $150. Practice starts @ 4:30 Races @ 6:00. We are expecting a full grandstand so come on out and put on a show. If we get enough intrest out of the riders and fans we will be having another one in a month. So come on out and put on a good show for these guys so I can keep this thing going for you guys. We are having bikes, quads and side x sides.

His brother Kenny races at I-80 at every event they hold there, again this year July 13th and 14th Carl and Kenny will be battling it out once again for brother bragging rights. This TV Show also features video from the Soaring Edge Motocross track with footage from practice and several races from the 2007 Season.

An old friend of mine Destry Abbott has made the ISDE (International Six Day Enduro) Dream Team for 2008. Several Years Back He was the only American to Score a Gold Metal in a special event at the ISDE. Destry Abbott is a Multi time National Champion Desert Racer who is making the trip to Greece to represent the USA. As many of you know, I made the “Dream Team” that will represent Team USA in this year’s ISDE! (Trophy Team Members: Kurt Caselli, Ricky Dietrich, Nathan Woods, Jimmy Jarrett, Nathan Kanney, and myself) I’m really excited about our team and am looking forward to this challenging opportunity.
What many of you don’t know is that the Trophy Team riders are financially responsible for our own expenses. As you can imagine, once we add a mechanic, family, etc. this trip starts to get a little pricey. To offset some of the cost, I’ve been working on a new t-shirt to help raise money for the ISDE in Greece.
I want to give a big thanks to Austin White from Bent Clothing and Bobby White from Arizona Cycle Park! They really helped me out with the t-shirts by designing and donating the first batch.
I also wanted to thank Kawasaki for all their hard work preparing our bikes, parts, etc. to ship. It’s a very time consuming and expensive event and they were indispensible in helping our Kawasaki riders prepare for this trip. My mechanic Jonny also worked very hard building my KLX450.
